The BearOps® Linux team has four exciting products available for purchase in our secure e-store or for order by telephone or mail. Simply go to the BearOps Store to purchase or order your BearOps® Linux product. We now have version 3 of our BearOps® Linux Desktop OS available. It comes packed with well over 500 software packages, including 2 office suites (Star Office 5.2 and kOffice), 3 web browsers (Netscape 6.2, Mozilla 0.98 and Konqueror), and tons of utilities, tools, games, applications and other useful desktop software.

We are also pleased to make available the BearOps® Linux Firewall for Broadband (cable or ADSL), built on the Version 3 architecture, which allows even new users to set up a firewall using the included quick start utility. Experienced users will be able to set up LAN's, VPN's or DMZ's and specify their own firewall rules. At the same time the 2 CD set gives purchasers the full BearOps® Linux Desktop OS to use as well.

    Welcome to the BearOps® Linux download page. Due to the popularity of BearOps products, most of the free downloads have been temporarily suspended until we find suitable mirror sites wishing to mirror our products. The BearOps Server Edition download will still be maintained, until the product is sufficiently beta tested to release.

    We have reached the level where downloads of BearOps products are exceeding a terabyte/month! One terabyte = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes. The cost of providing free download of these products is no longer cost effective. BearOps Handheld CD - As well, our Handheld CD is released as stable version 1.0 for those of you that have a Palm, Handspring, TI Calculator or other handheld product. You do not have to be running BearOps to install the Handheld CD. It has been tested on Redhat 7.1, Mandrake 8.0, Slackware 8.0 and SuSE (latest version).

Cambio di nome per Asterisk@Home, e nuova release da pochi giorni, il popolare software che consente di mettere in piedi un centralino VoIP. Da ora in poi il progetto si chiamerà Trixbox pur mantenendo tutte le caratteristiche che hanno reso Asterisk@Home una soluzione ottimale per la creazione di un PBX.

Le motivazioni alla base del cambio di nome si spiegano con l’intenzione del team di sviluppo di evitare possibili fraintendimenti da parte degli utenti tratti in inganno da “@Home”. Trixbox infatti si rivolge sia agli utenti casalinghi sia agli utenti business che intendano allestire un centralino VoIP completo e professionale.
